Gisela has a research background within molecular biology, combined with more than 25 years of senior level experience from the life science industry. This includes business development and operational positions, as well as co-founding and managing a service-providing diagnostic company, later acquired by Capio. Gisela currently holds several chair positions and board appointments in private and stock market listed companies.

Background as financial advisor and investment management both for private and corporate clients. Investment manager for private equity companies including CBC Investment Group, well experienced in evaluating start-ups with strong growth potential.
Henrik Didner (b 1958)

Co-founder, owner and working chairman of the Swedish leading fund management firm Didner&Gerge. Other current commitments include the position as chairman for Uppsala University Holding. Henrik Didner holds a PhD in Business Administration.
Rolf Ehrnström (b 1953)

Rolf has extensive R&D leadership experience from biotech and diagnostic companies like Amersham Pharmacia Biotech, Dako (acquired by Agilent) and the microfluidics pioneer company Gyros. Rolf Ehrnström is today CSO of the stock market listed diagnostics company Immunovia, board member of Scandinavian Chemotech AB and appointed independent partner at Ventac Partners.

Simon has a background as an investment analyst, with focus on diagnostics, medtech and digital solutions. Simon Turner has solid experience from international due diligence work at French Kurma Partners, and later as Senior Manager Innovation Scout at Baxter International.

Jeffrey Bender, MD Assoc. Prof Clinical Pediatrics
Jeffrey is an Infection Disease Physician, Medical Microbiologist and Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, CA, USA. His research is centered on understanding the role of the infant’s microbiome and its host interactions. Jeffrey is also interested in hospital epidemiology and the implementation of rapid diagnostics in the pediatric setting.
Øyvind Kommedal, MD PhD
Consultant in medical microbiology at Haukeland University, Bergen, Norway. In his research he focuses on culture independent detection of bacteria and poly-microbial infections. Working in a diagnostic lab, he has a keen interest in technologies that can reduce time to result for patient specimens.
Mia Phillipson, PhD Prof Physiology
The laboratory of Mia Phillipson at the Dept of Medical Cell Biology at Uppsala University, Sweden, is focusing on defining the role and function of immune cells in inflammation, as well as during angiogenesis and maintenance of homeostasis. Mia Phillipson was appointed Ragnar Söderberg Research Fellow in medicine, 2012 and Wallenberg Academy Fellow, 2012.
