Gradientech Wins Prestigious Red Dot Design Award
The diagnostics company Gradientech today reveals that its new CU™ product that comes with its already award-winning QuickMIC® system has received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award: Product Design 2025.
The Red Dot label has become one of the most coveted symbols of excellence in design worldwide. Awarded by a jury of 40 international experts, it recognises outstanding products that excel in four key principles for good design: functionality, usability, aesthetic appeal, and sustainability.
“At Gradientech, exceptional product design is a core focus that drives every product development project we undertake. We believe that great design is key to a product’s success on the market, and it serves as an important extension of the Gradientech brand identity,” says Sara Thorslund, CEO and co-founder of Gradientech. “Winning the Red Dot is a mark of excellent innovation and quality and we are truly honoured to receive this award now also for our new CU product.”
The QuickMIC system offers a cutting-edge solution for susceptibility testing bacteria in the blood of sepsis patients, providing results in hours instead of days – crucial for improving patient outcomes in the face of rising antibiotic resistance. Building on the award-winning QuickMIC design, its new CU control unit integrates an intuitive screen and barcode reading solution, further minimising the footprint and optimising valuable bench space in busy clinical labs.
